Online access

The Rotherham Health App will no longer be available after 31st March, 2024. It will be replaced by the national NHS App, where you will be able to access and manage your healthcare including

  • book or cancel appointments online
  • renew or order repeat prescriptions online
  • view all future entries in your GP records including test results and letters
  • contact the practice with non urgent enquiries
  • seek advice from 111

You can still contact the practice by phone or in person. More information including “how to” leaflets and videos of patients and why they are using GP online services are available at www.nhs.uk/gponlineservices

Patients can access services through the NHS App 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. 

How to sign-up

We encourage you to download the NHS App. It is easy to use and will allow you to continue managing your healthcare needs efficiently.

The app can be found on the Apple Store or Google Play

To log into the NHS app you will need an NHS login, you will need a mobile phone and photo ID. If you do not have photo ID please speak to reception and we can help you. 

Prospective access to records

We have now enabled you see all future information within your health record. If you are over 16 and have an online account, you will now automatically be able to see all future information entered on your medical record. 

This means that you will be able to see records from your appointments, as well as test results and any letters that are sent to the GP surgery.  You will only be able to see information from 01/11/2023 or the date you sign up to an online account. For most people, access will be automatic, and you won't need to do anything.

Your doctor may talk to you to discuss test results before you are able to see some of your information on the app.

Your doctor may also want to talk to you before you are given full record access to make sure that having access is of benefit to you. If you are concerned that seeing your records is not right for you, please let us know.

These changes only apply to people with online accounts. If you do not want an online account, you can still access your GP health record by requesting this information via reception. The changes also only apply to personal information about you. 

The NHS App, website and other online services are all very secure.  You'll  need to make sure you protect your login details. Do not  share your password with anyone as they will then have access to your personal information.

Detailed coded record access

If you wish to view a summary of your historical medical records we need you to come into surgery and complete a request form.  Please fetch ID with you so we can confirm your identity. The practice will need to check your records to ensure that no third party information is disclosed or any other information that may cause harm to you or any other person.
